Batch Tutorial

Peter Raeth

Am working through the batch tutorial at http://opticks.org/docs/help/4.11.0/Help/Opticks/index.htm using a Linux system (http://www.afrl.hpc.mil/hardware/index.html#us). Execution is started via:   > linuxBatch -input:/u/home/praeth/TutorialWizard_batch.batchwiz.

The following messages appear once execution starts:

Opticks
Opticks Batch Processor, Version 4.11.0 Build 18013, Release Date 02 Apr 2013
Copyright (C) 2008, Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.

      - Executing the startup plug-ins...
100% - Executing the startup plug-ins is complete
      - Processing batch file: /u/home/praeth/TutorialWizard_batch.batchwiz
      - Starting wizard execution
WARN  - GeoTIFF Importer:
No georeference plug-ins are able to georeference the raster data without additional input.  The data will not be georeferenced.
      - GeoTIFF Importer started!
      - Copying data
WARN  - A georeference plug-in is not available to georeference the data set.
100% - Raster element import complete!
 100% - Finished importing
100% - Import Data Set complete!
WARN  - The band math operation attempted to divide by zero. Operation will continue and bad values will be set to 0.
      - Band Math
 100% - Algorithm completed successfully
100% - Create Export File Descriptor complete!
WARN  - Could not set the Export Descriptor input node value on the GeoTIFF Exporter item! The node type is incompatible with the File Descriptor connected node type on the Create Export File Descriptor item.
ERROR - The file descriptor input value is invalid!
ERROR - The wizard failed to complete successfully.
WARN  - Batch file failed: /u/home/praeth/TutorialWizard_batch.batchwiz
100% - Processing batch files completed.

Of concern are the two errors. The connection from "Create Export File Descriptor" to "GeoTIFF Exporter" is not specified in the connection table but shown in the subsequent figures. "Create Export File Descriptor" can only output one type, "File Descriptor". "GeoTIFF Exporter" can input two types, "File Descriptor" and "Raster File Descriptor". Both yield the errors in question.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Thanks,

Peter.

There may be an issue with the wizard in that tutorial preventing it from running. I’m attaching another which accomplishes the same thing and should work. You may need to go to Tools->Options->Georeference and turn off automatic georeferencing depending on the dataset used (to avoid the error indicating that georeferencing failed).

Re: Batch Tutorial

Peter Raeth

That did the trick. Am going to start exploring multiple batch runs so that long lists of cubes can be processed during production cycles.

Best,

Peter.
